Privacy Policy
At Cocoba we believe life is too short not to have the best. For this reason, we want to share our knowledge, products and promotional offers with you, that we think you’ll be interested in based on information we collect from you. We only use that information where we have a proper legal basis for doing so.
We wrote this policy to help you understand what information we collect, how we use it and what choices you have about it. We’ve tried our best to explain things in a simple and clear way but if you have any questions, please contact us.
WE COLLECT INFORMATION IN A FEW DIFFERENT WAYS:
1) When You Give It To Us Or Give Us Permission To Obtain It
When you sign up for our email newsletter or SMS communications, or when you buy our products, you give us certain information voluntarily. This includes your name, email address, telephone number, home address, date of birth, and any other information you choose to give us. If you buy something, we also collect payment information and details of what you bought. If you buy something for someone else, we collect their name and delivery details and contact information. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
If you link accounts from other third party services, we also get information from those accounts. The information we get from those services depends on your settings and their privacy policies, so please check what those are.
2) We Also Get Technical Information When You Visit Our Website
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view or add to your shopping cart, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.
WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to communicate with you; screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). We may also use this information to serve you targeted advertising and marketing communications which are relevant to you (e.g. the Site uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your cart, and this information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via email or SMS depending on which type of marketing communication you are subscribed to receive).
For further information on how we will use your personal information to send SMS/text messages, please see our Mobile Terms of Service.
